JZ = Bastardized Jazzmeisterish style
AD = Alder
CUSTOM = Block Inlays & Bigsby Tremolo
Wow!
What else can we say...
This is a 'special' take on an old classic.
No tone wheels here, just a 3-way LP style switch for these two custom designed and hand-wound traditional size / format pickups. Each Pickup has its own volume control and they share a linear Tone control for ultimate responsiveness and versatility.
This is no standard or tribute model; it's an animal of its own nature. Featuring a roasted maple neck, Ebony fretboard with MOP Block Inlays and a Bigsby Tremolo!
Jazz, Country, Rockabilly, Rock n Roll... The JZ-AD-CUSTOM will take it all in stride, no sweat - just sweet sweet tones.
"OUR GUITARS ARE MADE BY 'JUAN TERAN' IN PINCHER CREEK.
NOT BY A ROBOT IN A FACTORY."
Rock n' Rolls Ultimate Humbucker

and why we called it...
The Emerald '91
The greatest single year in rock history -1991, and the Emerald City were (jointly) responsible for some of the most impactful music of modern times. The list of enormously influential, era defining Rock albums released during this calendar year is truly remarkable, and the number of those originating in the city of Seattle, equally incredible.
1991 was also a year of 'coming of age' for the founding partners at Teran Guitars. Juan & Troy's high-school years had concluded and college-life (in a much bigger city) was new and exciting. There were new people, new experiences and new places filled with an explosion of new rock n' roll sounds and culture.
1991 represents the pinnacle of one of the best musical eras ever and the Emerald '91 is the best damn humbucker we've ever heard; so we chose to commemorate the city and the year by making it the engine behind our single-humbucker equipped, single-cut monster, the JP-H1-OG!
The Emerald '91 has a punchy thick tone with a magical midrange frequency bump that helps riffs sit perfectly in a mix and leads soar when called upon. The dynamics are astounding. The breadth of warm chunky tone... shocking.
We're confident you will agree and we can't wait to hear you describe it in your own words.
